A Status Yellow snow-ice warning has come into effect for five counties, with wind warnings also in effect for a number of areas.
Met Éireann said wintry showers of hail, sleet and snow are possible tonight and for a time tomorrow morning, creating difficult travelling conditions.
The snow-ice warning for counties Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Leitrim and Louth came into effect at 10pm and is valid until 9am tomorrow.
Meanwhile, a Status Yellow wind warning for counties Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo came into effect at 3am, and is valid until 2pm tomorrow.
In counties Clare, Limerick and Kerry, the same wind warning came into effect at 3pm and will be valid until 3pm tomorrow.
Met Éireann has warned of potential impacts including wave overtopping along coastal areas as well as fallen trees.
People are also advised of potential difficult travelling conditions, especially near the coast.
In Northern Ireland, a Yellow wind warning is also in place for Antrim, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry.
That weather alert is valid until midnight and the UK Met Office has warned of potential transport disruption.
